Welcome to Spriggs Road
And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. (Acts 2:42)
Statement of Welcome
Spriggs Road Presbyterian Church (SRPC) is located in the heart of Prince William County, VA. We serve a growing, busy, diverse suburb of Washington, DC. Our church consists of a growing community made up of people of in many stages of life and from many different backgrounds.
Acknowledging that we are all broken people (in one way or another), we seek transformation by the Holy Spirit and the Word of God. As a community we learn how to live as, and with, flawed people in a damaged world through the grace of God’s love. By His grace, we devote ourselves to worshipping God, studying His Word, praying with and for one another, encouraging one another, showing His love, and spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ for the glory of God and the growth of His kingdom.
We love visitors, so whether you are just curious about Christianity, a new Christian, or a long-time follower of Christ, we welcome you to come join us one Sunday morning. As a result, we trust you will be encouraged by the hearing of His Word, refreshed by the worship, and touched by Christ’s love through our fellowship.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is worship like?
Our weekly Lord’s Day worship service begins at 10:45 a.m. at which time we meet together to glorify the triune God through worship and observance of the Lord’s Supper. It is an outpouring of our joy and thanksgiving for the mercy and grace shown to us by Christ.
Worship consists of the ordinary means of grace: the Word preached, Scripture reading, prayer, singing of hymns, psalms, and spiritual songs, confessions of faith and sin, assurance of pardon, and administration of sacraments. We utilize the Bible and Trinity Psalter Hymnal (both provided under your seat), as well as song lyrics, creeds, and confession on the overhead screen in the front of the sanctuary.
Worship services typically last until 12:15 p.m.
I have children. How does worship work for us?
All children, no matter their age, are welcome in our worship service, even if they are a little fussy. A nursery is also provided during the worship service for children under the age of three, and there is a “cry room” with sound wired in and a view of the sanctuary that parents may use if they feel their little ones are being too disruptive. Additionally, we offer Sunday School for all ages before worship every Lord’s Day, starting at 9:30 a.m.
How should we dress for worship?
Some members of the congregation choose to “dress up” for worship, but that is not a requirement.
During Communion what should I do?
We participate in weekly Communion at Spriggs Road. The Lord’s Table is for professing believers to share in communion with their Lord and Savior—it is a sign and seal of His gospel promises! If you are a member in good standing of a faithful Gospel-preaching church and you have made a public profession of faith and have been baptized into God’s covenant family, our Lord invites you to take Communion at His table, whether you’re a member of Spriggs Road or another body of believers. If you do not yet know Christ, we ask that you let the elements pass you by, but don’t let Christ pass you by. This table is not yet for you, but we pray that it soon will be. Talk to the pastors or elders about the hope that is found in Christ Jesus.
We serve bread, which represents Christ’s body, broken for his people. We serve wine, which represents Christ’s blood, poured out for the forgiveness of sins. Gluten-free wafers and grape juice are also available for those with health or conscience needs. On Sundays when the congregation processes forward to receive the elements, the Elders will be available to serve you directly in your seat if you are unable to process forward. Communion will also be served to the those in the cry room or in the nursery
.
Do we need to give an offering? How does that work?
The Lord is the source of all good gifts and is Himself our greatest treasure. It is the duty of all Christians to return to Him a small portion of those gifts as tithes and offerings. Each Lord’s Day we observe a time of offertory where a plate is passed. Visitors are encouraged to fill out a visitor information card from the back of the chair in front of you and place it into the plate as it is passed. Direct withdrawals and virtual tithing can also be set up. We also have occasional special collections for missionaries or other love offerings that are for the body of Christ at Spriggs Road and are not required of guests.
How do people follow along with worship? Will I be able to keep up?
We use the Bible, Trinity Psalter Hymnal, and a weekly bulletin to help follow along with the liturgy. Additionally, we depict song lyrics, creeds, and confessions on a projector screen above the pulpit.
Where should I park? How do I get to the worship area?
We are located off Spriggs Road, near the corner of Spriggs Road and Hoadley Road in Manassas, and we have a large parking lot with ample handicap spaces next to the church building. There is also curb-side drop off and a covered walk from the curb to the front door. The church only has one floor and is fully wheelchair accessible. Once inside, follow the main hall until you find the doors to the sanctuary on the right. You can find a copy of the weekly bulletin on the small table to your left. You are free to sit anywhere you’d like.

I have a disability. Can I still participate in worship?
Of course! Spriggs Road is fully accessible, with a sloped sidewalk from the parking lot to the front door, and only one floor. The sanctuary chairs are easily moved if additional space is needed for a wheelchair and our restrooms are ADA compliant. Our Deacons will be available should you need any assistance whatsoever.
